CHRISTMAS TIME PREP.....

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all are well... No card today  just a little Yummy for your Tummy!!! I've been having a wee cooking session today! I made some chutney, rock buns (DH's Favs) so not many left!! and my Christmas cake is in the oven as I type... We had far too many tomatoes to eat so I made some Tomato & Apple chutney for some gifts for neighbours & family for Christmas....here are some pics...

I got 7 1/2 jars from 2lb apples & 2lb of tomatoes  and it tastes good too.... Take care all and Thank you so much for your visit today.... Hugs May x x x

Fabulous May! Love the packaging, a super finishing touch. Too busy right now but I do have gingham material, ribbon and some wee tags to 'dolly' mine up nearer the festivities. Swop you a jar of chutney for my piccalilli?! :)

Hugs, Di xx

Love the packaging! They will make fabullous gifts.
When the girls were younger, I used to pick apples, peaches, cherries, tomatoes, etc and make up into jams, jellies, pickles, mincemeat, preserves etc. Now that we are both retired, i would like to get back into it...
My family lives in the semi arid area of BC called the Okanagan Valley. All our grapes and vineyards and soft fruits are grown there...2013 will be hte year that we return home from visiting with the back of the truck full of boxes of??? depending on the season! teehee

Your looks delish..Di had a post on piccalillo about 10 days ago...between the 2 or you, you have me craving to preserve...and I am not even making lunch yet...Dh is still doing all the cooking!!!
