My Annie Sloan Adventure

Hi Everyone,
Well this is what I've been getting up too... I decided to change some old solid  pine orange pieces and the thought of rubbing it all done and using a undercoat put me off for sometime...Until Annie Sloan chalk paint  came to the rescue... no need to prep before painting....well I painted a large chest of drawers... A very large wardrobe... & two bedside tables.. In my spare room....so Here goes.. Lots of pics I must add photography is not my strongest point...I hope you like them anyway.... photo overload..

This is the spare room excuse the TV this will be moved out soon ....
so hard to take a good pic it's better in the flesh so you all will have to round for a cup of tea and have a proper look....
I really did want the battered look...My DH thought I had lost my marbles as he could not understand why I would spend hours painting something only to mess it up....(cheek)

 Chest of Drawers & mirror

The bedside cabinet's were not solid pine they were like veneer and it still covered it with no problem....

At first I found this paint strange to work with but it become a lot easier when I used  a little water with it...Inside the wardrobe I only gave it a whitewash  it looks great...and then came the waxing I found this very simple to do....I most certainly would use this paint again...The colour I used was the original & the clear wax...would love to use some of her colours...You Tube have some great videos on the effects you can get from this paint well worth a look.. I hope I have not bored you all to bits...
