LOOK WHO CAME TO VISIT

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all are well and keeping warm & dry if that's possible with this weather at the moment....
I took these photos on Sunday Morning as I spotted a new visitor to my garden  he is lovely don't you think... his colours are Beautiful... Hi Mr Pheasant....

Having a little play I made a Tussie Mussie my first..
I had a problem trying to take pics I hope to get better
this is the flower again I made with some muslin
then dipped in coffee & sprayed with starch to firm
                                            it up a little
I covered the cone in newsprint papers from SU
then coloured with distress inks..the blink at the top
is because my friend loves a bit of sparkle as I shall
pop a gift inside for her birthday...
Sorry again about the pics...it was too wet to take outside to photograph but I hope you get the idea...
Thank you so much for your visit today x x x x

Beautiful creation May, something about pearls that add beauty to a piece.

Lovely Mr P, we have a pair living in one of the paddocks who come and feed with the hens.

Your friend is a very lucky lady! I have never heard of a Tussie Mussie but it is quite gorgeous!! Wow and the flower is so beautiful. May this is very special.
We have wild turkeys here but no pheasant. He is pretty and in real life I bet he is really pretty.
Back to your flower - I am going to have to get some muslin - makes for a gorgeous flower.

Your photographs of the pheasant remind me of when I lived at home with my Mum and Dad, we had frequent visits from the local wildlife.

Your tussie missile is beautiful. I have never thought of spraying something with starch to stiffen ....did it work well? I'm drooling over all of those pearls, as well.
Peacock in the yard...wow! We get wild turkeys which are not very pretty.

The pheasant is amazing. We rarely see them here. In fact, my Dad would always stop the car if we saw one and just sit and watch till it flew away. I can still remember the times I have seen one in my lifetime so far!

I am so in love with the flower on your tussiemussie. I have memorized the look of it and hope to try one. Do you allow pinning as my memory is not perfect since that car accident.
